2018 Subaru Crosstrek kicks off at $22,710
UPDATE: We now have a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek review, prices and more.
Shown earlier at the New York Auto Show, the all-new 2018 Subaru Crosstrek will start at $22,710 in its entry-level 2.0i trim when fitted with the 6-speed manual transmission and $23,710 with the Lineartronic CVT automatic which makes its first-ever appearance on the base model. One step up, the 2.0i Premium will open at $23,510 with a 6-speed manual and $24,510 with the CVT while the range-topping CVT-only Crosstrek 2.0i Limited starts at $27,210. Subaru notes that despite being larger and better equipped, the new Crosstrek is just $100 more than its 2017 counterpart.
Riding on Subaru’s Global Platform that debuted on the 2017 Impreza, all versions of the 2018 Crosstrek are fitted with a 152-horsepower/2.0-liter naturally aspirated boxer-4 engine and feature the automaker’s Symmetrical All-wheel drive system that includes Active Torque Vectoring. In addition to standard alloy wheels, all variants models also boast a healthy 8.7 inches of ground clearance and CVT-equipped models come with X-Mode and Hill Descent Control to bolster for performance in low-grip and off-road conditions. The upgraded interior treatments in all Crosstreks complement their richer look and a 60/40 folding rear seat with standard Subaru Starlink Multimedia systems that now feature support for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Both the Crosstrek 2.0i Premium CVT and the 2.0i Limited offer several option packages for 2018 that include a power moonroof, Blind Spot Detection/Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Navigation and a Harmon Kardon premium audio as well as Subaru’s EyeSight driver-assist suite (adaptive cruise control, automatic pre-collision braking and lane-departure warning) as well as Reverse Automatic Brake and High Beam Assist.
