An updated version of the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is set to bow at the Geneva Motor Show sporting a new face, two-tone paint treatment and revised interior appointments. The 2018 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is slated to go on sale in the U.S. in late summer as a 2019 model.

The new grille sports fine vertical elements, which Mercedes said, were inspired by pin stripes on a suit. It is a variation of the grille used on the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6, a massive coupe first shown at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August 2016. The two-tone paint scheme is also a classic Mercedes-Maybach touch and will be available in nine different combinations. A new 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheel also gives the Maybach S-Class a distinctive look and will be offered along with a choice of three other exclusive 20-inch wheel designs.

New interior colors

Inside, the massive sedan will offer two new color combinations, Armagnac Brown/Black and Savanna Beige/Black, while the black Nappa leather interior package can also be ordered with copper, gold or platinum stitching.

Riding on a 132.5-inch wheelbase and measuring 215 inches overall, the 2018 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class sedan is offered in two versions, S 560 V8 and S 650 V12. The former features all-wheel drive and produces 463 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque from its twin turbo 4.0-liter engine. It is capable of 0-60 mph acceleration of 4.8 seconds. The S 650 produces 621 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque delivered to the rear wheels. That model sprints to 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds. Pricing is expected to be released for the new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class closer to its on-sale date.
