Hyundai has revamped its popular 2018 Elantra Sedan family with a new Elantra SEL variant that replaces the existing SE with Popular Equipment Package. The Elantra SEL comes with an even larger selection of upgrades highlighted by a 7.0-inch Display Audio system with SiriusXM Satellite radio and support for Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, auto headlamps, heated mirrors, a rearview camera with dynamic guidelines, 16-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 205/55 tires, Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross-traffic Alert and Lane Change Assist and more.

While pricing has yet to be released for any 2018 Elantra, the new SEL is being positioned between the base Elantra SE and the Value models, with the fuel-frugal Elantra Eco, leather-lined Limited and turbocharged Sport rounding out the Sedan mix.

All 2018 Elantra Sedan variants will offer a new Machine Gray exterior color and those equipped with Blue Link telematics now get three years of free services. Other notable new standards include an auto-dimming rearview mirror with Homelink plus Blue Link on the Limited, and a power sunroof plus Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross-traffic Alert and Lane Change Assist on the Sport. Hyundai notes that for 2018 over 80 percent of all Elantra models will offer or come with those latter two driver-assist features.
