Prior to the expected debut of an all-new model at the Frankfurt Auto Show, Bentley is sending off its still-stylish existing Continental GT with a limited-edition Convertible variation dubbed the Timeless Series. Closing out a 14-year run of the current-generation Continental GT, the Timeless Series mixes unique exterior and interior treatments that add more distinctive flair to the basic package.

Available in Light Ice, Glacier, Camel, Onyx, Havana, Anthracite or Dark Sapphire color/trim motifs, the Timeless Series treatment adds bright upper and lower grille elements, Mulliner-spec puddle lights, 21-inch/10-spoke “Propeller” painted-alloy wheels and special fender badges. Inside, the richly appointed cabin features Interior Style Specification trim with contrast stitching, heated/ventilated/massaging Mulliner GT Design seats covered in soft-touch leather and the first-ever use of a sophisticated Liquid Amber wood veneer on the dash and available on the door panels. Rounding out the package are a duo-tone sport steering wheel, “Timeless Series” logos embroidered into the headrests and embossed on the door sills and deep-pile floor mats.

Here in the U.S., the Continental GT Convertible Timeless Series will only be available with Bentley’s 582-horsepower/6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 backed by an 8-speed automatic that lets it streak to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. Top speed is 196 mph. Like the baseline Continental GT, motive force heads to each wheel via a 40/60-percent rear-biased AWD system. On sale here in November, the 2018 Bentley Continental GT Convertible Timeless Series will open at $253,205 including destination and gas guzzler taxes.
