2017 Infiniti QX80 Signature Edition Returns
Infiniti announced that the feature-rich but value-focused QX80 Signature Edition will return to the lineup in May. “The first iteration of the QX80 Signature Edition, offered in 2016, was a big success and has helped maintain our full-size SUV’s sales momentum in the new year,” said Randy Parker, vice president, Infiniti Americas, who noted the trim level was instrumental in helping the QX80 increase its U.S. sales by more than seven percent and set an all-time record of over 16,700 sales.
Helping bridge the price gap between the base 2017 QX80 that starts at $64,845 and the range-topping QX80 Limited that kicks off at $90,445, the Signature Series is offered in Hermosa Blue, Graphite Shadow, Black Obsidian and Majestic White, with seating for seven or eight. Powered by the same 400-horsepower, 5.6-liter V8 with rear-drive or All-Mode 4WD, the 2017 Signature Edition’s is fitted with high-contrast Saddle Tan leather upholstery and new dark-finish 22-inch forged aluminum-alloy wheels wrapped with 275/50 all-season performance tires plus carryover chrome mirror caps and a clear high-mount stoplight.
On the tech front, the 2017 QX80 Signature Edition also retains its selection of Infiniti driver assist technologies including adaptive cruise control, forward emergency braking and collision warning, backup collision intervention, blind spot and late depature warning and intervention. Infiniti said pricing for the 2017 QX80 Signature Edition will be announced closer to its on-sale date. Given its new 22-inch wheel/tire fitment, the Signature Edition may cost a bit more than the $1,000 the package commanded in 2016. But an Infiniti source indicated it will remain a seriious high-value proposition.
