2016 Toyota Camry and Corolla Special Editions bow
A pair of limited-run sport-themed Toyota models first seen earlier this year at the Chicago Auto Show is set to bow at dealers next month. With availability limited to 12,000 units, the 2016 Toyota Camry Special Edition will start at $26,550. The 2016 Toyota Corolla Special Edition, which is capped at 8,000 vehicles, will start at $21,470. Production on both will end in January.
Based on a Camry SE with a 2.5-liter/4-cylinder and 6-speed automatic transmission, the 2016 Toyota Camry Special Edition sets off its Blue Streak Metallic or Blizzard Pearl exterior with unique 18-inch alloys wheels wrapped in 225/45 tires, smoked taillamp lenses and a power moonroof. Inside, the dark-blue fabric-covered cabin boasts a power driver's seat with lumbar support, custom gauges, Smart Key/Push Button Start, Entune Audio Plus with Connected Navigation, Qi-compatible wireless smartphone charging and bespoke badges in floor mats.
Spun from a Corolla S Plus, the 2016 Toyota Corolla Special Edition will offer buyers a choice of Absolutely Red, Black Sand Pearl and Super White exteriors, each complemented by unique 17-inch gloss black-finish alloy wheels. Inside, the Corolla Special Edition features a black and red color motif on the cloth-covered seats and accent trims, Smart Key with Push Button Start and custom floor mats. Toyota's Entune Premium Audio with Navigation and App Suite along with a power tilt/slide moonroof offered as options.
