Kia announced its range-topping 2016 K900 sedan will be the first -- and for now the only -- model to feature the next-generation of its UVO infotainment/telematics services. A free download from iTunes or GooglePlay via the Kia App store and, UVO Luxury Services endows the flagship 4-door with additional functional interactivity. Beyond introducing features that include remote start/stop, cabin preconditioning and remote lock/unlock, it also integrates a full range of My Car Zone features like curfew and speed alerts, Geofencing and Local Search powered by Google.

Offered on a no-cost/no-subscription basis for five years, UVO Luxury Services also provides K900 owners a host of enhanced maintenance/safety capabilities including 911 Connect, enhanced Roadside Assist, Automatic Diagnostics, Manual Diagnostics, Scheduled Diagnostics, Driving Information, Car Care Web, Vehicle Maintenance and an eServices Guide. These features are powered by LTE connectivity on the Verizon network. In making the announcement, Henry Bzeih, chief technology strategist, KMA, noted: “We are taking the UVO platform to yet another level of enhancement for the Kia customer by enabling drivers and passengers to use all of their personal technologies more safely and easily, while creating exceptional user experiences."
