Leveraging positive reaction to the Impala Blackout Concept that appeared at the 2014 SEMA Show, Chevrolet has created a similarly sinister-looking appearance package. The 2016 Impala Midnight Edition will be hitting the showrooms in early summer, available on 1LT, 2LT and LTZ trim grades with the standard 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine or optional 3.6-liter V6. This noir-themed sedan features a Jet Black exterior set off by body color mirrors, a black grille/ and surround, a black rear spoiler, and black Bowtie badges along with black-accented 19-inch machine-faced aluminum wheels.

The passenger compartment of the new Impala Midnight Edition also is finished in Jet Black with bright sport pedals. Chevy also advises that while the Midnight Edition is technically a new-for-2016 option, "a small number of 2015 Midnight Editions will be produced in the 2LT trim level with the standard 2.5L engine." Prices for the 2016 Impala Midnight Edition package ranges from $995 to $1,595, depending on model.
