2015 Porsche Panamera Exclusive Series debuts in Los Angeles
Taking the automaker's premium grand tourer to an entirely new level, the 2015 Porsche Panamera Exclusive Series makes its first public appearance at the LA Auto Show next month. Limited to a global production run of just 100 units and handcrafted at the Porsche Exclusive factory, this range-topping variation on the all-wheel-drive Panamera Turbo S theme sets a benchmark for unprecedented luxury to properly complement its 570-horsepower twin-turbo V8 engine.
Unique two-tone exterior treatment
Prime visual cue to the Panamera Exclusive Series is a distinctive two-tone paint job - although a monochrome finish also will available upon request. The first such exterior treatment ever offered by Porsche, this hand-applied pairing counters Jet Black Metallic with a Chestnut Brown Metallic side accent that runs from aft of the front-fender air outlet to the rear quarters. The car rides on 20-inch Sport Classic alloy wheels, also finished in Jet Black and carries handmade "Porsche Exclusive" badging.
The precedent-setting color combo of the Panamera Exclusive Series carries over into its richly appointed cabin. The seats and lower door panels are covered in hand-selected Chestnut Brown hides with a Poltrana Frau finish while Black Milled Nappa leather appears on the door uppers. Even the wood accents carry the theme, transitioning from dark walnut up front to deep black piano lacquer finish in the rear. Every Exclusive Series vehicle also will come with a serialized build plaque.
New premium rear-seat entertainment system
One of the highpoints of this range-topping Porsche is the first appearance of the automaker's new Rear Seat Entertainment System Plus. Standard fitment along with the car's Burmester premium surround sound system, this new package features a high-resolution 10.1-inch touchscreen on the back of each front headrest with a built-in camera and integrated DVD player. Also incorporating mobile internet access, it allows audio to be played either through wireless headphones or the primary speakers. While personalization is obviously possible, the only option specifically cited by Porsche is a 5-piece custom tailored luggage set, also rendered in Chestnut Brown Poltrana Frau leather. Ordering for the 2015 Porsche Panamera Exclusive Series has now begun, and the price of entry starts at $264,894.
