Offering a unique take on a full-size sport pickup, the 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation Edition will hit showrooms sometime late this year. Based on a GMC Sierra 1500 double cab, the new Elevation Edition has distinct visual and functional cues, however, like the recently announced Sierra Carbon Editions, the tweaks do not extend to the powertrain or suspension.

Key visual changes to the Sierra 1500 Elevation Edition include a body-colored grille surround and color-keyed door handles, mirror caps, side moldings and front/rear bumpers along with premium LED-infused headlamps, fog lamps and cargo box lighting. The 20-inch aluminum wheels are painted black. Inside, Elevation Editions have a 4.2-inch color touchscreen for the audio system and OnStar with 4G LTE Connectivity that serves as a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to seven devices. There's also Bluetooth connectivity, a 110-volt power outlet, remote keyless entry and power mirrors.

Standard engine in the Elevation Edition will be GM's 385-horsepower/4.3-liter EcoTec V6. The 355-horse/5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 is optional, as is 4-wheel drive. Pricing for the 2015 GMC Sierra Elevation Edition will be announced closer to the on-sale date.
