2015 GMC Sierra 1500 Carbon Editions to offer unique style
Looking to add a bit of visual distinction to members of its full-size pickup family, GMC will introduce three new Sierra 1500 Carbon Edition models starting this fall. Each will feature a selection of cosmetic and functional enhancements and be available in rear- or 4-wheel drive. This trendy trio will come with GM's 285-horsepower/4.3-liter EcoTec3 V6 as the standard motivator while the 355-horse/5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 will be optional.
Available only on the standard Sierra 1500 double cab, the base 2015 Carbon Edition sets the pattern for all, boasting a common black painted grille, carbon fiber graphics on the hood and tailgate plus body-colored door-handles and mirror caps. Other Carbon Edition kit includes remote keyless entry, a 110-volt power outlet and LED cargo box lighting. One step up is the Sierra 1500 Carbon 20 Edition. Available only as a Sierra SLE double cab, it adds custom 20-inch alloy wheels to the mix.
Topping GMC's new Carbon clan is the Sierra 1500 Carbon 22 Edition. Offered on both Sierra SLE double cab and crew cab models, it raises the equipment ante with added touches like four-inch black tubular side assist steps, unique 22-inch black-finish alloy wheels, fog lamps, remote keyless start, Universal Home Remote and dual-zone climate controls.
Pricing for the 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 Carbon Edition starts at $33,075, with the Sierra 1500 Carbon 20 Edition and Carbon 22 Edition opening at $38,275 and $42,270, respectively. While dealers are currently taking orders for all three, the vehicles aren't due to arrive in showrooms until early next month.
