Chevy used this week's Texas State Fair to confirm that it will introduce Z71 Off-Road Package for the all-new 2015 Tahoe and Suburban full-size SUVs and took the wraps off a concept version of its new 2015 Colorado mid-size pickup. While providing no images or additional details, Chevy did say a full feature rundown and production timing will be released later this month. If the past is any indicator expect the Z71package to include revamped springs and gas-pressure shocks with a number of unique cosmetic touches as well as a special wheel/tire fitment, a robust skid plate and more.

To showcase the active-lifestyle potential of its new mid-size pickup, Chevy also used the fair to unveil the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado Sport Concept. Based on a 4-wheel-drive, Z71-spec Colorado crew cab, this easily reproducible one-off features a host of factory/dealer accessory items highlighted by the easily reconfigurable GearOn System that's complemented by a twin-slot bike rack, tiered storage, a cargo divider and tie-down rings along with assist steps, splash guards and wheel-lip moldings.
