2014 Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker unveiled

Resurrecting a heritage feature first seen on its predecessor back in 1970, the new 2014 Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker made its debut at the SEMA Show. Named for the unique Satin Black engine-mounted hood scoop that literally shakes as it sits atop of the car's potent 5.7-liter Hemi V8 which is fed cool air via a custom induction system, this modern-day muscle car also comes with a host of other performance-enhancing components and can be further upfitted with one of three new "Scat Package," performance kits that also made their debut at SEMA.

Other standard Challenger R/T Shaker go-fast features include driver-selectable sport-mode powertrain calibration and the Super Track Pak that nets a high-performance suspension, steering gear and brakes, tri-mode electronic stability control with a "full off" setting plus 245/45 Goodyear Eagle F1 Super Car three-season tires on custom 20-inch polished aluminum alloy wheels.

Inside, this dynamic Dodge coupe has a noir-themed look complete with a  custom "K-Black" painted dash, sport buckets wrapped in premium Nappa leather -- either Dark Slate Gray with Sepia accent stitching or Radar Red on Radar Red, each with embroidered Shaker logos - a leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel and a numbered dash plaque. The lever on the base Tremec 6-speed manual transmission features an aluminum pistol grip while the optional 5-speed performance-programmed automatic offers cast-aluminum shifter paddles.
