Following in the tire tracks of its Coupe sibling, the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible Premiere Edition will start rolling into dealerships early in 2014. Chevy plans to build 550 of these limited-run drop-top models compared to the 500 2014 Corvette Stingray Premiere Edition Coupes announced previously.

Like the first-issue Coupes, each of the Stingray Premiere Edition Convertibles will be based on a top-line 3LT trim grade and feature Magnetic Selective Ride Control suspension, a Z51 Performance Package, a variable tuned exhaust system and unique wheels with "Stingray" center caps. All of these al fresco Premiere Edition cars will be finished in Lime Rock Green exterior, have a tan top and a Brownstone suede interior set off with carbon fiber accents. Custom Stingray sill plates and a 5-piece set of Corvette-branded luggage also are part of the package. Finally, each vehicle will have a unique VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) sequence and carry a bespoke dash plaque to denote its Premiere Edition status.

Pricing for the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible Premiere Edition will start at $77,450.
