2014 Cadillac ATS Crimson Sport Special Edition surfaces

Adding an exclusive edge to its popular compact 4-door, the 2015 Cadillac ATS Crimson Sport Special Edition hits showrooms at the end of the month.  Produced only this spring, the limited-run model matches performance-focused visuals with functional enhancements including an optional Track Package. Two Crimson Sport versions will be available: a 272-horsepower, 4-cylinder ATS 2.0T Performance Collection model and a 321-horse V6-powered ATS 3.6L Premium Collection variant.

Finished in Crimson Red Metallic, this tasteful high-profile ATS also boasts a full ground effects package that includes a body color front splitter, custom rocker moldings, a more aggressive rear diffuser housing twin bright exhaust tips and a functional decklid spoiler. Rounding out the look is a set of exclusive 18-inch Manoogian Dark Silver Premium Painted alloy wheels. The cabin rework brings a choice of four color themes -- Morello Red with Jet Black accents, Caramel/Jet Black, Light Platinum/Jet Black or Jet Black/Jet Black -- as well as heated front seats plus a heated steering wheel and shift lever wrapped in microfiber suede.

The Crimson Sport package adds $2,990 to the bottom line of either ATS variant. The 2.0T 2015 Cadillac ATS Crimson Sport Special Edition Performance model starts at $46,010 and its 3.6L Premium counterpart opens at $51,010 in rear-drive form -- or $53,010 when fitted with the AWD system. While any Crimson Sport model can be upgraded with navigation, a sunroof, the Driver Assist and/or Advanced Security Packages, buyers choosing a rear-drive V6 3.6L version also can add the Track Package that has a high-capacity engine cooling system, a supplemental engine oil cooler and high-performance brake pads.
