Key exterior tweaks to the 2013 Toyota Venza include new upper and lower grille elements, revised fog lamps and taillights plus outside mirrors with directional signals, puddle lamps and blind-spot elements. Three new exterior colors -- Attitude Black, Cypress Pearl, and Cosmic Gray Mica - also join the mix. Four-cylinder Venza models are fitted with restyled 19-inch standard alloy wheels while the Limited models sport new HID xenon headlamps with automatic high beams and LED running lights.

Inside, the 2013 Toyota Venza receives several cosmetic enhancements, including a new multifunction sport steering wheel and three trim colors/combinations: Ivory, Light Gray and a new-for-2013 Black. Upgraded sound systems in the LE and XLE bring Toyota's Display Audio package with a 6.1-inch touch screen and include AM/FM/CD/MP3/WMA/iPod capability, Bluetooth hands-free phone connectivity/streaming audio and AUX/USB inputs while the range-topping Limited gets an enhanced Premium HDD Navigation system with Entune and a 13-speaker JBL audio system . Optional on the LE and standard on the XLE and Limited, Toyota's Entune multimedia package seamlessly interacts with smartphones to support an ever-expanding variety of mobile apps -- including Pandora, iHeartRadio, Bing, MovieTickets.com and OpenTable -- using advanced voice recognition that simplifies the process and minimizes driver distraction.

No changes underhood for any of the 2013 Venza models. Powertain choices remain the existing 2.7-liter/181-horsepower four and 3.5-liter/268-horse V6 - which is standard in the Limited -- each backed by a six-speed automatic transmission and pairable with either front- or Toyota Active Torque Control all-wheel drive. Ditto for the passenger protection features that include automaker's comprehensive STAR Safety System (Vehicle Stability Control Traction Control, Anti-lock Brake System, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Brake Assist and the Smart Stop Technology)along with seven airbags.

While pricing for the 2013 Toyota Venza won't be released until closer to its on-sale date, it's expected to remain fairly close to 2012 levels. Sole sourcepoint for the Venza will continue to be the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky (TMMK) facility in Georgetown, Kentucky.
