2013 Chrysler 300 Glacier Edition unveiled
As the latest variation on its flagship sedan, the 2013 Chrysler 300 Glacier Edition brings together unique style, all-season/all-wheel-drive competency and best-in-class fuel economy numbers while rounding out the mix with the choice of two potent engines. Spun from the Chrysler 300S, this new Glacier Edition can be had in Bright White, Billet Silver Metallic and Glacier Blue Pearl Coat - a package exclusive - with or without an optional Gloss Black painted roof. All versions of the car also feature Gloss Black mirrors and headlamp bezels, Black Chrome sculpted horizontal grille blades and unique 19-inch/8-spoke aluminum wheels finished in Satin Carbon and wrapped in 235/55 all-season performance tires.
Inside, the Chrysler 300 Glacier Edition boasts a "noir" theme that starts with 12-way power front buckets trimmed in black leather with matching "Falls" cloth inserts and French-seamed stitching. Piano Black accent elements appear on the center stack, instrument panel, gauge cluster, door panels and black leather-wrapped/thick-rimmed steering wheel that also boasts die-cast paddle shifters for the car's standard 8-speed automatic transmission.
To take full advantage of its sophisticated all-wheel-drive system, the 2013 Chrysler 300 Glacier Edition offers buyers the choice of a V6 or V8 engine. Base motivator is the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with the S-spec cold-air induction system and dual exhausts that bump output to an even 300 horsepower yet still delivers class-leading 18-mpg city/27-mpg highway EPA numbers. Those seeking a bit more muscle can opt for the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 that delivers 363 horses but features the automaker's Fuel Saver Technology four-cylinder mode that allows it to deliver 23 mpg on the highway. On sale now, the 2013 Chrysler 300 Glacier Edition starts at $37,840.
