2012 Ram 1500 Mossy Oak Edition revealed

Created for pickup people who love spending their free time in the great outdoors, the 2012 Ram 1500 Mossy Oak Edition is a limited-production offering that also reflects a new level of active partnership between Ram Trucks and America's top camouflage brand. Based on the Ram Outdoorsman, this latest addition to the lineup will only be available on the Ram 1500 4x4 Crew Cab. While buyers can choose from seven monotone and three two-tone exterior colors, all versions will have their bedcaps and tailgate covered in Mossy Oak Breakup Infinity camouflage pattern and carry a Mossy Oak logo on their rear quarter panels. That same camo design extends to the cabin of the Ram 1500 Mossy Oak Edition, giving a now-you-see-me-now-you-don't look to the door panel inserts and center dash panel. As a finishing touch, the Mossy Oak logo also adorns the four primary headrests, whether buyers opt for the standard cloth or optional Espresso Tuscany-colored Katzkin Leather seat coverings.

Fred Diaz, President and CEO, Ram Truck Brand and Chrysler de Mexico - Chrysler Group LLC, sees the new Mossy Oak Edition as a natural extension of the Ram 1500 line, citing the fact that 30 percent of owners are hunters, 44 percent fish, 42 percent camp and 27 percent are recreational boaters. "We're launching the Ram Mossy Oak Edition, as we did the Ram Outdoorsman, to keep our focus on the needs and wants of our customers so that they can enjoy their enthusiasm for the outdoors and their sport of choice." The Ram Truck brand also is a major sponsor of several Mossy Oak-produced television shows currently airing on the Outdoor Channel and the Pursuit Channel.
