More from Chicago 2012

2012 Chicago Auto Show

Chicago debuts include an updated Nissan Z and two new Acuras More new cars

Adding more go-anywhere capability as well as an extra measure of "ear appeal," the 2012 Mopar Jeep Compass True North is another offering to help commemorate Mopar's 75th Anniversary year while providing a look at good things to come this fall for fans of Chrysler's iconic "Trail Rated" division. The True North's exterior sets off its bright red paint with a matte black finish on the roof, wheel flares, lower fascia, door cladding and 16-inch alloy wheels wrapped in  BF Goodrich All Terrain tires. Additional cosmetic touches include a black grille with body color inserts, black headlamp/fog-lamp surrounds, rear fog lights, unique front/rear brush bars and custom rock rails. The eminently respectable off-road rambling potential of the 2012 Mopar Jeep Compass True North is further enhanced by a two-inch lift kit developed by Rocky Road Suspensions.

The cabin of the 2012 Mopar Jeep Compass True North does its part to go above and beyond the basics with a center stack gauge pod that houses pitch and roll inclinometer gauges plus a Mopar bright pedal kit, door-sill guards, rear-cargo tray and shift knob plus seats covered in a special easy-clean neoprene material. Highlighting the True North's revised passenger compartment is an audiophile's dream package from Kicker that includes a dedicated power amp linked to custom front and rear speakers, a sub-woofer and liftgate speakers.
