2012 Kia Optima SX Limited - 2012 Chicago Auto Show

First seen in the automaker's "Drive the Dream" Super Bowl Commercial, the new 2013 Kia Optima SX Limited made its first real-world appearance in Chicago. Set to arrive at dealers in March, this new range-topping Optima will add a new measure of style and luxury to the premium trim version of Kia's popular mid-size sedan.

Chicago debuts include an updated Nissan Z and two new Acuras More new cars

Based on a fully loaded Optima SX model, the new Limited variant is available in Ebony Black, Snow White Pearl and Titanium Metallic exterior colors. Edgier front/rear lower bumper elements, HID xenon headlamps, LED daytime running lights, unique door sills and a chrome-accented rear spoiler add more visual drama, as do its bespoke 18-inch chrome alloy wheels and red-finish front brake calipers.

Inside, the Optima SX Limited features supple Nappa leather in black or white, premium wood accents and a black-tricot headliner/pillar trim as well all of the elements from the Technology and Premium Packages. Those two groups add everything from an Infinity Surround sound audio system and Voice-Command navigation with back-up camera and SiriusXM Traffic to heated/cooled power front front seats, heated rear seats, a panoramic sunroof and metal sport pedals.

Mechanically, the Optima SX Limited carries over the 274-horsepower/2.0-liter turbocharged GDI four-cylinder engine and paddle-shifted six-speed automatic from the baseline Optima SX, as well as its sport-tuned suspension. Pricing for the new 2012 Kia SX Optima Limited will be released closer to its on-sale date.
