2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Altitude Special Edition unveiled

Heading to showrooms in May, the 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Altitude is the latest series-build variant to be spun from the most iconic Jeep model. Only 4,500 of these distinctively appointed units will be produced. Based on buyer response to previous limited-run Wrangler variants, Mike Manley, President and CEO -- Jeep Brand, Chrysler Group LLC, expects they'll go quickly.

Available in Deep Cherry Red, Black, Bright White and Bright Silver Metallic, the 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Altitude Special Edition includes a body-color hardtop with matching painted center sections on the front and rear bumpers, special 18-inch/5-spoke alloy wheels with black-painted spokes and polished perimeter rings, a Mopar black fuel-filler door, matte-black "Jeep" grille badge and a distinctive black tone-on-tone hood graphic. Inside, black leather, black carpet and black accent trim is set off by red contrast stitching. Pricing for the 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Altitude will start at $34,640.
