Bringing a bit of international intrigue to its performance portfolio, Mopar created the 2012 Fiat 500 Stinger for Chicago. Based on the 500 Sport model, this decidedly super coupe also combines elements from a Mopar Stage 1 Appearance Package and Stage 2 Performance Package to create a whole that's greater than the sum of its parts.

The Stinger sets off its bright "Giallo" (yellow) paint with a number of Black Chrome accents, including the grille inserts,whiskers-and-logo and headlamp surrounds as well as the door handles and mirror caps. Tinted headight/taillight lenses and black-checker Mopar vinyl body side and roof graphics round out the exterior cosmetics while a set of 17-incha Abarth Hyper Black alloy wheels wrapped in 205/40 performance tires help create a bolder look while enhancing stick in the corners. The eye-catching yellow and black color scheme is repeated inside of the Fiat 500 Stinger, where two-tone Katzkin leather covers special Sport-based front buckets that feature grippy Alcantara inserts. A Mopar carbon-fiber instrument panel decal and Gloss Black Mopar shifter completes the look.

To suitably elevate performance, the 2012 Fiat 500 Stinger bolsters its 1.4-liter 16-valve MultiAir four-cylinder engine with a Mopar cold-air intake and free-flowing cat-back exhaust system that delivers "even more power and torque" than the 500's standard 101 ponies and 98 lb-ft of twist. The Stinger also benefits from performance brakes that feature cross-drilled rotors. Like the 2013 Dodge Dart GTS 210 Tribute, all of the Mopar components that make up the 2012 Fiat 500 Stinger will be available this fall, individually or as complete Stage 1/Stage 2kits.
