Volkswagen Cross Coupe
You are looking at what its maker boldly calls "the future of SUV design at Volkswagen," and we hope they're right, because this all-wheel-drive, plug-in hybrid is a beautiful machine. Based on VW's new modular transverse matrix, the four-seater is yet another example of designers' fascination with the word coupe even when drawing a four-door. Okay, we can forgive that because with its short overhangs and low roof it looks great, and with its two electric motors and direct-injection turbo engine, it should drive great, too.
