2011 Ram Tradesman - 2011 Chicago Auto Show

A Hemi-powered, high-value homage to the hard-working set, the 2011 Ram Tradesman made its debut in Chicago loaded with can-do attitude. Based on a Ram 1500 ST regular cab pickup and offering short/long bed configurations and rear-drive/four-wheel-drive, the Tradesman option package includes an impressive feature set that focuses on the requirements of small businesses and commercial fleets with pricing that will start at just $22,780 when it goes on sale during the second quarter.

Power for the 2011 Ram Tradesman comes from a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 that makes 390 horses and 407 lb-ft of torque. Paired with the five-speed automatic transmission, it will return an impressive 20 mpg on the highway in rear-drive models. The Tradesman package also nets heavy-duty engine/transmission coolers, a Class IV trailer hitch that allows properly equipped variants to tow up to 10,450 pounds and exclusive 17-inch painted steel wheels.

Inside its vinyl-clad (or optional cloth-covered) cabin, the Tradesman teams a 40/20/40 bench seat with a tilt steering column, air conditioning, six-speaker AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio system with media center and 12V/AUX inputs with available items like power windows/locks, cruise control, Sirius satellite radio, Uconnect voice command with Bluetooth and a remote USB port. On a more work-focused level, the Ram Tradesman also can be ordered with items like 3.21 and 3.92 rear axle ratios, an anti-spin differential, heated mirrors, folding trailer-tow mirrors with courtesy lamps and supplemental signals, Mopar chrome side steps and bed rails, a rear sliding window, spray-in bed liner and a trailer brake controller.
