To help call attention to the new line of custom-order matte-finish "Frozen" exterior colors available under its BMW Individual Program, the automaker has announced a special build of 20 identical 2011 BMW Frozen Black Edition M3 Coupe models for the U.S. market. Beyond distinctive metallic-luster ebony paintwork, each of these stealthy road warriors will arrive with a megaload of performance, comfort and convenience touches along with a window sticker of $81,825 that includes $1,300 in gas guzzler tax.
Rounding out its visual enhancements, the Frozen Black Edition M3 Coupe features gloss-black exterior trim accents, black-finish M3 GTS lightweight alloy wheels wrapped in summer performance tires and red brake calipers as well as Black Extended Novillo leather trim inside the cabin. While the M3's 414-horsepower/4.4liter V8 remains unchanged, Frozen Black cars come with the optional seven-speed M Double Clutch transmission (M-DCT) with Drivelogic control as well as the Competition Package that includes a lowered and more aggressively-tuned suspension plus sport mapping for the Electronic Damping Control and Dynamic Stability Control systems.
