2010 Geneva Auto Show: TAG Heuer Tesla Roadster Concept
Renowned Swiss luxury watchmaker TAG Heuer and primo purveyor of EV sports cars, Tesla, have teamed up in a worldwide partnership to help promote TAG's 150th Anniversary by presenting this one-off Tesla Roadster in Geneva. The car's graphics-rich exterior is finished in Foucault Field Grey and incorporates a design inspired by a new TAG Heuer concept watch that represents "a technical milestone in mechanical movements." TAG's signature green and red logo-element colors are reflected in the alternate hues of the Roadster's left and right outside mirrors.
The interior treatment of this unique TAG Heuer Tesla Roadster was created by Tesla's design chief, Franz van Holzhausen and brings together a number of TAG Heuer's avant-garde design elements. In addition to a TAG Heuer Meridiist mobile phone and a one-fifth second Heuer Limited Edition Stopwatch that pays visual homage to the company's original vintage mechanical stopwatches, the car boasts a unique center console that will display the TAG Heuer concept timepiece when this exclusive EV departs from Geneva and heads on to Basel. Once there, it will become a rolling showcase at Baselworld, the largest watch exhibition on the planet and the locale where TAG Heuer's latest exercise in high-end timekeeping will be officially unveiled on March 18.
