2010 Detroit Auto Show: 2010 Kia Shadow Dragon Soul

Kia has just rolled out the third of its four promised Soul special edition models, and the new Shadow Dragon Soul is matches its form of visual distinction with the highest level yet of interior refinement.

Like its Denim and Ignition precursors, the Shadow Dragon variant is based on the Soul+ trim line and will be limited to about 1,900 units. Exterior visuals include Shadow Black paint with matte-black dragon graphics on its hood and tailgate, gloss-black bumper inserts, a body-color rear wing and 18-inch black alloy wheels with machined inserts.

Inside, the Kia Shadow Dragon Soul boasts black leather-trimmed seats -- the first Soul to offer this luxo touch -- as well as warmers. Like the not-so-basic Soul+, it also comes with a generous load of other standards, from the Audio Upgrade Package and an iPod connection cable for full functionality to steering-wheel controls, a moonroof and fog lights. Pricing for Shadow Dragon Soul starts at $18,195 with a five-speed manual transmission or $19,195 with the available four-speed automatic.
