2010 Acura TSX V6: No Replacement for Displacement?

We're torn on this one. On one hand, two big parts of the Acura TSX's charm are its 30-mpg highway fuel economy and its sub-$30,000 starting price. On the other hand, we're not ones to refuse a second helping of horsepower. So it is with unsorted sentiment that we report Acura's introduction of a V6-powered TSX. The engine at issue is the same silky 3.5-liter V6 found in the larger Acura TL, producing the same 280 horsepower. That's quite a bump from the current TSX's 201 ponies. Other differentiators include an even sportier sport suspension, 18-inch wheels, unique front fascia and the lack of an available manual transmission (fortunately, Acura's paddle-shiftable Sequential SportShift automatic transmission is a good one). We expect a starting price just north of $30,000 when the 2010 Acura TSX shows up this summer.
