2009 New York Auto Show: 2010 Mazdaspeed3 to Make an Appearance

Following its world debut at the recent Geneva Auto Show, the 2010 MAZDASPEED3 has been confirmed for its U.S. debut at the forthcoming New York Auto Show. This new rendition has a bolder, bulkier shape with design cues taken from the Nagare concept, with the most dramatic alteration being the addition of Mazda's distinct gaping mouth front grille -- also seen on the MAZDA3 -- and hood scoop. As for performance and handling, the previous generation's 2.3-liter turbocharged engine carries over, and a new suspension setup and wider wheels have been adopted to make the car more stable. There aren't very many other details to speak of yet, but this information should be enough to keep interests piqued until the car make its appearance in New York.
