Kelley Blue Book Best Buy Awards of 2015 3

The all-new Ford F-150 is one of the most versatile trucks out there. While it is often thought of as a work truck best suited for job sites, the F-150 has a softer side, one that's family friendly and designed for road trips and weekend use.

The F-150 has the best towing capacity in its class, making towing an RV, boat or trailer a snap. Thanks to the truck's newest engine, the 2.7-liter EcoBoost, the F-150 excels at combining responsive acceleration with frugality. Yet with all of the hard-nosed capability and impressive specifications, the F-150 is an impressive, refined truck with amenities that would please even the pickiest family member.

Roomy and Refined

The SuperCrew (Ford's name for its Crew Cab model) has the best legroom in its class. Not only is this the only truck with a flat floor -- even in the dreaded rear middle seat -- it has as much rear-seat legroom as in a luxury sedan. Those rear seats fold up to make room for even more gear, and there's extra storage in the floor. The cabin is quiet, too, and uses seats that are designed to reduce fatigue. It's easy to stay connected too, with Sync, and with the right phone, you can have it read texts to you while you drive.

When it comes to loading cargo for a family camping trip or a run to the desert, the F-150's available integrated loading ramps make it easy to get a motorcycle or ATV into and out of the truck bed. The tailgate step has been improved for 2015, making it even easier for older kids to help load and unload family gear. This may not seem like your typical family car, but for many, many families, the F-150 is exactly what they need.
