10 Real Transformers #8

Audi S4 Avant

Codename: Savant

Drop off your princess at dance practice and the S4 Avant passes for a prosaic wagon. But take the twisty road home and the S4 looks like four rings of anger in the rearview of that poseur in his be-winged sports car. For real driving enthusiasts who like to lay low, the S4 Avant is tops. It is faster than Rodimus Prime, more reliable than a Dinobot, and has so much cargo space even Unicron* says "DAAYYYUUMM".

*For those who've spent more time in the real world, Unicron was a huge, planet-eating robot voiced by Orson Wells in the 1986 animated classic The Transformers: The Movie. Embarrassingly, it was his final role.

The Audi S4 Avant is currently on hiatus. Here's a mix of 2011 Audi S4 Sedan and A4 Avant numbers:
Starting price: $47,975 (S4 sedan)
Engine: 3.0-liter supercharged V6 (S4 sedan)
Output: 333 horsepower, 325 pound-feet of torque (S4 sedan)
Top speed: 155 mph (S4 sedan)
0-60 mph: 4.9 seconds (S4 sedan)

Cargo capacity: 50.5 cubic feet (A4 Avant with the seats down. S4 Sedan measures 34.0 cubic feet with the seats down)
