10 Real Transformers #4

2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8

Codename: HEMI's Fear

Look at its seven-bar grille and it's easy to mistake the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 for just another "four-by" wasting its life on the streets. Silly humans, this Jeep is more than meets the eye. With a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 underhood the SRT8 positively screams. Or more appropriately, it Starscreams (insert groan/rimshot here). The whole HEMI treatment combines with an SRT-tuned suspension, all- wheel drive, big brakes and numerous body modifications to create a Stunticon-like amalgamation of performance.

Starting price: TBA but we're guessing somewhere in the mid-$40,000 range
Engine: New 6.4-liter V8
Output: 465 horsepower, 465 pound-feet of torque (the most powerful Jeep ever)
Top speed: 155 mph
0-60 mph: 4.8 seconds
Quarter-mile time: Mid-13's
Cargo capacity (behind first/second row): 68.3/36.3 cubic feet
