Following up on the recently announced Sport Touring package for the 2016 Encore crossover SUV, Buick said it will offer the trim level on the 2016 LaCrosse, Regal and Verano sedans, as well. "Buick is reaching an all-new generation of customers by reinventing itself in terms of design, function and capabilities," said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Buick. "These new ST models underscore the importance of design choices, while complementing the safety, refinement and connectivity technologies that are drawing new customers to Buick dealerships."

Set to arrive this fall, the Sport Touring package on all three of Buick's 4-doors will bring custom 18-inch alloy wheels with machined faces and dark pockets as well as a decklid spoiler. Beyond that, the 2016 LaCrosse Sport Touring upgrades the existing Leather Package with new Apple CarPlay capability -- a feature we expect to be announced for other 2016 Buick models before long.

Slotting between 1SL and Premium-spec, the Regal Sport Touring also gains CarPlay along with heated rear seats to accompany its already leather-trimmed cabin. The Verano ST adds the existing Convenience Package -- heated front buckets and a power driver's seat -- plus Buick IntelliLink to complement its OnStar with 4G LTE setup, features also found on the other two Sport Touring models. No final word on pricing, but a Buick spokesperson indicated that, like the Encore Sport Touring, these bundled ST features will reflect a value relative to the current Leather and Convenience Packages.
