2009 New York Auto Show: 2010 VW Golf and 2010 VW GTI

We've already driven the sixth-generation GTI (pictured at left) and noted our five favorite improvements. We've already covered the fact that the new Rabbit will actually be a Golf (again) and that it will be available with the same clean diesel engine that powered the Jetta TDI to 2009 Green Car of the Year honors. And now that the cars have made their North American debuts at the 2009 New York Auto Show, we can tell you this: there's not much new to tell. You have until the fall to save your pennies for whichever version of the country's longest-running hatchback you prefer.
