A new PZEV (Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle) version of the 3.2-liter engine is now available. The engine touts cleaner emissions and better fuel economy, but gives up 10 horsepower in the process. A new trim, the 3.2 R-Design, joins the lineup. Minor cosmetic changes and a refreshed navigation screen round out the 2010 V70 changes.
A comprehensive redesign of Volvo's mid-size wagon adds greater visual distinction and endows it with better ride and handling plus an even broader range of comfort, convenience and safety touches.
The Volvo V70 wagon makes an excellent transition vehicle for those who no longer need the massive passenger and cargo capacity of a full-size SUV, but still enjoy the convenience and versatility offered by an enclosed cargo bay. Capable of comfortably accommodating four adults and touting one of the best safety records in the industry, the V70 wagon feels as plush and comfortable to drive as an S80 sedan. With its rear seats folded down, the V70 can accommodate a weekend's worth of gear, the family pups or the tools and hardware to tackle your next home improvement job. With models ranging from the comfortable 2.5T to the rugged XC70 and the scorching R, there is a V70 wagon to suit just about every need and desire.

"I love this car! It handles like a sportscar but feels like a tank (safety-wise). It is just amazing. I'm getting an average of 23mpg, which is great for a vehicle that has such a powerful engine and weighs so much. It is so quiet on the inside. The seats feels like luxury recliners. When I drive it, I am so comfortable that I almost forget I am driving. The BLIS system is very useful but can be annoying, if I could buy the car again i would have opted for the premium package instead. The only good thing about it is that the mirrors fold in automatically when you lock the car. I recommend getting the windows tinted, it gives the car a sleek look."

"This is the second V70 I've owned. It is better finished and I'm hoping won't develop the rattles that plagued my 2001 model. Couple of gripes - the doors sound cheap when closing and the engine sounds like a tiny, inexpensive compact. Otherwise it seems to be a reasonable value."

"My 2nd Volvo, bought it because my wifes 2002 V40 impressed me so much and was tired of driving a oversized SUV, the car is the most comfortable car I have been in, it drives so smooth. I do have an annoying rattle in the rear cargo area when I don't have the radio on. I bought the roof mount bike rack and can do evertything I used to do. It also drives great in the snow."
