Pros: "Safety"

Cons: "Premium gas, expensive to fix"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"Have enjoyed this car for 10 years. Its major drawback, in my opinion, is the need for premium gas. The small wagon style allows me to carry most items that I want. Starting to need expensive repairs that I had never heard of: breather box, engine mounts, etc., which surprised me due to low mileage."

Pros: "Smooth drive -safe- comfort- and classic appear"

Cons: "Turning radius"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I am addicted to the luxury and high end standard of this wagon,as well as appreciating the turbo acceleration when needed. I purchased my 2002 black 24T V70 was in 2005. It has leather interior and all interior control options available, as well as a moon roof. My current milage is 150K as of March 2015. Only qualified volvo mechanics are used to adhere to all routine maintenance schedules. A transmission replacement was necessary in 2012. The smooth feel of the drive is superb, although due to stability factors and tire width the turning radius is limited. The quality design, classic appearance, (not looking to be Mom's taxi!), dependability and secure documented safety features have earned a devotion to Volvo and high recommendation for this vehicle. I would not consider another make of wagons and don't prefer to be withought the turbo ability. I expect to keep this car at least to 300K and then trade for another Volvo or possibly purchase a Volvo SUV sooner for the heigth entering the car due to back injurys. I just find it extremely hard to let go of this wagon and will probably keep it as an additional vehicle. I highly recommend this wagon to purchase if you are able to find one as well maintained as mine. Wishing Good Luck! DEBO"

Pros: "no rust, fun to drive, comfortable"

Cons: "breaks down frequently, transmission not reliable"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 1

"I bought mine used in 2006 with about 50K on it. A year later when it was 5 the transmission went and one week before the warranty ran out it got a new transmission. In 2012 on our anniversary trip it died and ended up costing $4500 to replace the turbo, oil pump and motor. This week, the transmission died again. This car has cost way more in stress and money than it was ever worth. That said, it was great in the snow, the turbo (when it was in good condition) made the drive fun and it was well equipped. The exterior never rusted and the leather interior held up well. I am not going to repair it again. I bought it hoping to get to the million mile club but I only made it to 160K. Heartbroken."

Pros: "reliable. dependable. pretty. sturdy."

Cons: "the cup holders are in weird places."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Our 2002 Cross Country has over 250,000 miles on it and it keeps running no matter what's wrong with it. It also drives better than our late model Nissan Armada and Honda Odyssey in the snow. It fits my spouse and me plus our 5 kids perfectly. I've never owned a better vehicle."
