I own this car - My approximate mileage is 63,500
overall rating 9 of 10rating detailsPros: "fun to drive, practical, styling"
Cons: "entry to the back seats."
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"I am a original owner of this car. I've had it for almost 8 years. I've never owned a car this long before. I really dig this car. Basically the R32 is a audi 3.2 TT in a golf body. Its built at the same factory as the audi TT with the same parts and build quality. Its fun to drive. The interior is really nice, a clean simple design that states quality. Leather Konig seats are the most comfortable I've ever owned. Its practical. The rear trunk space is nice size and with the seats folded down its big enough to fit a mountain bike. Is it as fast as a Evo or STI? Not 0 - 60, but at highway speeds it smokes turbo motors. While they are waiting for their turbos to spool up. This car is gone. The 3.2 V6 is smooth and powerful and the exhaust sound is perfect. The only complaint I have is the front seats are too tall and make getting in and out of the backs seats difficult and annoying."

"The R32 is a great combination of performance (acceleration, handling, braking) and practicality (hatchback with lots of room). The AWD is also great for my area of the country. I have winter tires on it and it is unstoppable. I love the sound from the exhaust (loud when accelerating, quiet when cruising). The visibility is great, the Konig seats are terrific. My car is red with optional leather, so it's particular rare (only 500 so equipped). The only drawback are the ergonomics of the interior - gauges are hard to see when you have polarized sun glasses on and the HVAC controls are too low to easily see and use. It's also a bit difficult climbing in and out of the rear seat (even for my young grandchildren!). Overall, a fantastic car - one of the best I've ever owned (...and I've owned over 50!)"

"Best car I have ever owned. The most fun to drive of any car I have ever driven. Best exhaust sound I have ever heard. Must see and drive to appreciate what a fine piece of engineering this auto is. Marvelous."

"It's got the potential to be supped up to beat the fastest super car. But it's economical for a sports car, fun to drive with plenty of power from the factory. Very solid feel."

"I have owned my R32 since ordered from the dealership. Blizzak snow tires and this car are unmatched for handling on snow and ice. It feels like a quality built ride, it has everything luxury heated seats, heated window washer nozzles, heated mirrors, it even has rain sensing wipers. I paid full price @ 33,000 and have no regrets, I will never get rid of it. Though I would like to have another one and encourage everyone that I know they need to have one also. Very happy. If you wanted to mod, for the money, you could install a twin turbo and have a 0-60 of 4.2 sec. The price of another car to have the same performance and luxury is ridiculous. If you can find one in good shape buy it."

"I bought my R used with 43K on it from a find on the internet. I had it inspected by a 3rd party and shipped from Dallas to Tucson sight unseen. The delivery truckdriver had a HUGE grin on his face when he knocked on my door. As I drove him back to his truck, SO DID I!!!!! If I can help it My R now with 90K miles on it and various trips cross country will always be with me. Soon It will be turbo'ed and made into a sleeper car...and flat black. Its trully amazing.. Thank you for reading and you wont be dissappointed at all..... NO Japanese car will be built this good... ever!!!! may be faster.. alittle.... but not better!!!!!!!!!!!"
