I own this car - My approximate mileage is 700

Pros: "mileage, fun to drive, fender sound system."

Cons: "manual seats, no lumbar support."

"I have only had this car for about 2 weeks, and really love it! I needed the mileage because I drive close to 50 miles per day for my job. I am starting to see the great mileage from this car, with my old car I was filling up every week, but with the Jetta this is the 2nd week without going to the gas station for fuel, and I just hit a half of tank. I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!!"

Most fun I've had owning a vehicle

Cons: "be mindful of the 500mile engine break in period."

the car is stock minus tinted windows and a set of sport springs...(wheels are stock)

"I love my car. For just being a small 4 banger the car really moves. It handles better then alot of cars twice its cost and never disappoints when you get a heavy foot. I've read some of the other reviews and alot of people complain about poor gas mileage. I frequently get 35+ mpg on the hwy when I drive like a normal sane person, however this car is so torquey that you'll want to get on it frequently and this is where your gas mileage goes. The interior is very nice, leather seats, touch screen nav, bluetooth and the radio sounds wonderful. I was fortunate enough to be able to snag a Tornado Red GLI with a set of the Volkswagen Motorsport wheels on it. Apparently that was a very uncommon additional feature. My bright red car with the black wheels gets looks pretty much anywhere we go."

Fantastic car not just for the money

Pros: "Great price, fun to dirve, great stereo"

Cons: "poor fuel economy, and no power seats"

"I own the 2.5 SE and absolutely love it. The car handles fantastically and performs exactly how you want a car in this price range to handle. The base 4 speaker sound systems blows the doors off of any other cars. The leatherette seats do a great job of making you feel like you're in the cockpit of a car much more expensive than what you're actually driving. An especially great feature of this car is the huge amount of interior room. With best in class rear leg room and a massive trunk space you'll never be left wanting more. The 6 speed automatic transmission is great too. The sport mode is uber fun to use and the tiptronic is phenomenal. It is important to not that if you are looking for a super fuel efficient vehicle or something with extra comfy seats this is not the vehicle for you. However if you want a fun to drive, reliable, good looking vehicle for cheap you have to take a look at the Jetta."

Worst Car on the Market

Pros: "none"

Cons: "uncomfortable seats, manual adjust."

"I bought a Jetta SEL with Navigation and Fender sound and the seats are so uncomfortable I cannot not even drive the car ( they are manual adjust and the steering wheel does not telescope to allow the proper posture with the seats). The seat material is made of imitation leather and is very uncomfortable. The transmission is very rough and does not shift into gear very well, very rough. The car is not worth the $30.000 I spent on it. I should have bought a BMW."

Hybrid System Failure in first week owned.

Cons: "Broke down in first week."

"I cannot give this car a favorable rating due to Hybrid System Failure in the first week of ownership. Car has been in the shop over 3 weeks with no determination of problem. VW assures me that they are using all available resources to figure out problem. I have no faith in car and am afraid to allow my wife to drive one due to fear of her being left on side of road. Fuel mileage was in upper 30's but nowhere near reported 42-48 estimated."
