I own this car - My approximate mileage is 50,000
overall rating 9 of 10rating detailsPros: "fun to drive,,,,,,very strong body.......handling"
Cons: "small back leg area, no awd, all else terrific-"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9
"rear seat room is slighly small, excellant in snow, not a single repair at 50 thou miles-now needs 700$ brake job- not even tune up mileage is 20/30 on the dot safety tops, except the new [20013] small frontal crash test [only volvo 60/suburu forester new, pass] may keep but only change if i can not get vw that passes the new IIHS crash test end of this year important to get 2008 model jetta 2.5 =only, best ever made"

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 111,000
overall rating 10 of 10rating detailsPros: "mpg, reliable, safe and sound."
Cons: "can't think of any."
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"I usually trade vehicles about every 2 years, but I have owned this 2006 Jetta TDI from new. It has had a minimum amount of break downs. Hose on turbo split, cv boots replaced is all the repairs I have had to deal with. I now have 110000 miles on it. When maintained properly, (oil changes, timing belt, etc.) it will go for a good 200,000 plus. It handles great in ice and snow, and is a comfortable ride on road trips. All this and a 40 plus mpg this car is really hard to beat."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 65,000
overall rating 8 of 10rating detailsPros: "Fun to drive. Like the sunroof and heated seats"
Cons: "Eats rear brakes and tires. A/C failed."
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 7
"The VW Jetta is a great car to drive. It rides like its on rails. I had to replace the rear disc brakes twice within 64,000 miles. I also had to replace the A/C compressor that was not covered by the warranty. The 2007 VW Jetta has a 4 year 48,000 bumper to bumper warranty. The next year VW shortened the warrant to 3 years. VW replaced the headliner when the glue failed as well as the battery that was about to go dead all under warranty. West Houston VW is a great dealer. Outside of the A/C and the rear brakes the car is great. Be sure to rotate tires frequently (no longer than 5,000 mile intervals) because the rear tires wear quickly on the inside tread."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 125,000
overall rating 10 of 10rating detailsPros: "Great - MPG"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9
"I bought this car new. Paid extra for the TDI due to the miles I was going to be driving. So far the only major repairs as the timing belt (normal) & the Ext Oxg Sensor ($$$$) this was more expensive than the timing belt. Overall the car is great. If you do most of the services yourself its worth it. Otherwise it can be costly, due to the type of oil used."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 97,000
overall rating 10 of 10rating detailsPros: "Fun to drive! I have a manual trans."
Cons: "Every year it gets older."
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"I have owned a lot of cars in my life and this one all around is the best. It handles great, it gets 43.4 mpg per gallon(with out a/c, about 4 miles less with) around town and up to 50 on the highway. It cruses great, fits in most every parking space I find, has great trunk and cabin space. Four people fit well(I am 6'3" at 220lbs). With diesel fuel per gallon usually within 10% of gas cost and this car getting about 100% more per mile then most, in these times wow! 600 miles per tank!"
