"I think this truck is near-excellent. Still a little too big for a Toyota truck, but for comfort and styling, it's the greatest. Turning radius could use improvement, as well as some of the wierd control positions (mirrors, flashers, and the very strange button to drop from 2nd gear to low on the auto trannie).
All in all, very nice truck, and more comfortable than the limo I was upgraded into at the rental place a few weeks ago!!"
"I've had my Tundra since 2001. It's been a great truck, and I plan to keep it until it falls apart. Could be a while, only have 60,000 miles on it. My two complaints about it are 1) the doors don't stay open well when you're parked on an incline, and 2) there is no water management system in place - don't leave your windows down when the wipers are going, everything's funneled into the driver's window.
My driveway's sloped, and there have been countless times where I've parked, gotten out, and reached back into the truck to get something out & had the door slam back on me. Has happened to my kids as well. This is a serious design deficiency.
If you're driving down the road with the windows open & you run the wipers to clean the windshield, the windshield fluid will be dripping into your window in no time. I love the look/lines of the truck, but would it have been so hard to put a channel in place to keep the water out of the window?"
