"Bought this truck used when it was 4 months old when it had ~5K miles on it in early 2007. In 8 years and 113,000 miles, the only thing that's broken has been the alternator. Other than that, all I've had to do is routine maintenance. I'd buy another Toyota pickup in a heartbeat. They're awesome vehicles."
"I have owned my 2007 Tacoma for a couple of years now and I have thoroughly enjoyed driving it. It is a simple truck without all of the bells and whistles of a similarly sized 30,000 dollar competitor, but that is why I like it. It is an affordable, reliable, well made machine with very little in the way of corrective maintenance."
Pros: "It's fun to drive, good in the snow in 4 wheel dri"
Cons: "Not a lot of pick-up because its a 4 cylinder"

"Love this truck, awesome 4 x4 with some weight in the bed, its great in the snow, handles well. Gets great gas mileage on the highway with the cruise control package. Have not had any mechanical problems until this year, but its otherwise a very reliable, safe truck. The only downside is the 4 cylinder has no pick-up so I would recommend the standard shift model like I have to give it a little bit of get up an go!"
"We got the truck about 7 months ago. We have had to do nothing to it what so ever. It is very reliable and starts every time. The seats are not the greatest (limited adjustment features). All in all an excellent truck for under $10,000 , if you are in the market for a reliable truck for under $10k, get the Toyota Tacoma."
Pros: "Runs great, reliable, great entertainment system"
Cons: "Gas mileage"

"A really good truck, love the looks and the interior layout. Plenty of little places to stash things. A comfortable ride, especially as speed increases. Miss a sun/moon roof, tho. The biggest drawback is the gas mileage. For a 2WD 6-cylinder, it only gets 15-16 around town, and best I've ever gotten (on the highway) was 20.6 mpg and that was once. The sticker says 17-21, but only rarely hit 17 (usually driving mostly highway), and never gotten 21 or better. I absolutely love the truck except for the gas mileage."
