I own this car - My approximate mileage is 300,000

Pros: "stylish,dependable,handling"

Cons: "cup holders over stereo,skimpy on floor insulation"

"300,000 miles on her! Passed CA.smog test with lower than average emissions,still purrs,always reliable.Just replaced original alternater,front axle boots,front wheel bearings(because I was doin the boots).It runs great,not quite as strong as it used to be,but niether am I after 10 yrs and 150,00 mi!Wish they wouldn't have put cup holders over the stereo,or fuse box by your feet.other than that, it has exceeded all expectations.The A/T has held up pulling a 19ft Bayliner a few times a year, loaded down till leaf springs are almost level,or 4 wheelin.Cant ask for more from a stylish all round truck."

Quality, reliability and awesome off road!

Cons: "expensive to buy and the parts are expensive"

"I had reserves about the gas mileage with the larger version of the 1/4 ton. However, at 22 mpg, being older and high mileage, I'm happy with it. It's 4 wheel drive, so, the ride is stiff. The seat is surprisingly comfortable taking most of the shock. I've ridden in many cars that can't do as well! It handles very well, even at high speeds in the corners. This is the stock work version so there are no amenities. With the v6, it has plenty of power for pulling our 18 ft. Boat or a load of lumber with minimal power loss on the hills. Ride height is excellent, however, with the t100, it has an extra wide frame. While this makes it a very stable truck for hauling, it is not what you want off road. There are no vision problems noted with this cab. rear view mirrors get the job done. The bed is 8 ft so there are no issues there. I have not had any mechanical issues with this truck since i bought it a year ago. The stearing wheel and seat have ample adjustment for diferent drivers. All fluids are easily accessed. The spare tire is mounted under the truck, as with all trucks, so it is dificult to get at and sustains damage when using the truck off road. Remove it and throw it in the back bed. Stearing is a little stiff off road with the stock power stearing pump but it's acceptable. The tire jack is small with a narrow base and is difficult to use on soft or unlevel surfaces. All guages and controls are easily accessed. the heat for the interior works great. overall, this vehicle is a thumbs up."

$7000, jfor complete 1k overhaul of all parts etc.

Pros: "Driven gently, all maint. done"

Cons: "right door damage."

"damage right door, truck cap, side & rear windows tinted. stoe guard on hood. headlights refinished, interior 8. drives like a big car, smooth ride, comfortable to drive. seats in good shape. Mechanically. great pin stripe job."

Great truck

"Owned this truck from new. Very few problems. Bit of a dog on pickup but otherwise runs and drives good. Got about 18-19 MPG on hwy and 16 or so around town. Still wish they made this size truck."

This guy will go forever

Pros: "Extremely reliable. Very cheap to own."

Cons: "bumpy ride from time time and they are aging"

"I got this truck in 1998 with 40 miles on it. BRAND NEW! O man this thing has been through it all with me. It drives like a truck but it gets the job done. Off road 4 wheel drive is awesome on this thing. As it gets older you can feel the difference between this truck and the newer cars of today....on how they drive. But this truck has never shown a sign of stopping. There has never been a problem with it. The only maintenance has been tune ups, and brakes. I don't think these old Toyota pickups ever quit. I'm ready to move on to a modern luxury vehicle, but i will be sad to loose the truck got me to my thirties."

"I have owned 4 of these trucks and everytime I sell one, it's omly a matter of time before I start looking for another one. Those of you who have one now know what I;m talking about. I have never been stranded in one of these trucks and wouldn't hesitate to drive coast to coast ! Driving 50/50 hwy/cty I average 18.6 mpg. Straight highway I have gotten up to 22 mpg. If you can find one from the south that is unmolested it will be rust free and well worth the trip.I got a 1997 rust free and in amazing condition for 15 yrs. old and 187500 miles, doesn't use oil or squeek and rattle. Good Luck on your search."
