"I traded in my 2002 Hyundai Elantra for a newer car and was hoping for a pretty new car since the dealership teased us with a 2010-11. When we went in for the third time to see and they told us they had a 2005 Toyota with two doors. Since we give people rides a lot i did not think i would like the car. Then i saw the car and first i thought it looked a lot newer than they said it was. We have a sun roof, JBL audio, 6 disc changer, leather seats and heated front seats. I looked at the inside and it was so beautiful, i mean we have 8 speakers in the car and it sounds great!!! It was just as nice as the new car that they had teased us with and the back seat was bigger than our Elantra's. I love this car so much. When we bought the car we showed our friends one has a 2010 ford focus and one a Chevy Cobalt around 2010 as well and they both wanted our car. As most people who commented, I wish they made this car still. I think i will drive this car for years, i dont want to trade it in."

Pros: "Roomy, quiet, reliable and good looking."

Cons: "Not much really."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I bought this car two years ago and it only has 32,000 miles on it to date. (Bought it from my aunt who really did not drive it much) My only less than 10 rating was on aceleration as it feels like a heavy car and it takes a bit of pushing the gas to get it moving. But! Once moving it is a dream road cruiser. Very comfortable and quite."

Pros: "all the above in the complete review"

Cons: "none"

"I have averged at times 20,000 miles a year. keeping my car serviced at the times when its needed has kept my car running like new. I still get about 36-38 avg miles a gallon on the freeway, about 26-29 abg in town. I believe the sleek style of this car is still in style. Keeping good care of this car I believe will keeping it running well into the 200,000 mile range. Anyone who would like a great 2dr cpe car, this one is one of the greatest, it even has pleanty of room in the back seat and a large trunk. I wish they still made this car"

"I can truly say this car is very reliable, I get a lot of compliments on this vehicle, maybe one day Toyota will bring it back I live in the town where the Camry is made, the only thing is you have to watch your doors they open wide, I love my Toyota's, I also have a 1994 Celica that has 289,433 miles on it and still drive it enough said!"

Pros: "A family car that runs almost like a sport car!"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"A beautiful design; gets 30 mpg on the highway; accelerates smoothly and fast. Everyone on the road admires it. With proper maintenance, it should run 300,000+ miles. I can't understand why the model was discontinued in 2009."

Pros: "Comfortable, quiet engine, lots of features,"

Cons: "Abysmal transmission, acceleration, blind spots."

"2005 Toyota solara Convertible SLE V6 I'm a 22 year old college student and this is the second Solara I've owned (first was a 2004 SE convertible, not fully loaded). Overall, this is about as perfect a combination of a an affordable, quality and reliable convertible you'll ever find. Pros: -Very comfortable ride quality -Quality JBL system -Quality leather/heated seats -Excellent interior build quality. Leather everywhere! -Very quiet V6 engine -Quiet cabin while driving (city and highway) -Lots of trunk space -Seats 4 people very comfortably, even in back seat -Cheap to service yourself (if you know what your doing) -Gas mileage (I get about 25 city) Cons: -TRANSMISSION: VERY jerky going into 3rd and 4th gear, and sometimes lags a few seconds before shifting into gear. -LEAKS water where the cover for the side mirrors sits (Not much but it is noticeable when it rains. No water damage here... yet) -Sluggish acceleration for a V6 -Blind spots on convertible (small rear window, difficult to change lanes in heavy traffic) -Doesn't come with full-size spare tire (I'd NEVER use a "donut" tire on this car) -Leather on driver's side door handle tends to get VERY worn with use (Place a microfiber cloth over this) If you're thinking about buying a Solara, make sure you get one with the following: -Leather (Much more comfortable than the cloth seats) -JBL sound system (Infinitely better than the stock system in the SE Solara) -Make sure the convertible top doesn't leak or have much wear on it. -GOOD SERVICE RECORDS (Can't stress this enough. This is NOT the cheapest car to maintain. Walk away if the Owner has no service records. Spark plugs are a $650 job, though I did them myself for 60$ and 3 hours of my time. Timing belt is a 700$++ job. MAKE SURE BOTH ARE DONE AT OR BEFORE 90,000 MILES!!!!)"
