"Bought the 2000 Sienna in 1999 when the kids were still in baby car seats. It's 17 years later and the van still works great and even still looks good! Mechanically, it has been awesome. Absolutely no mechanical problems whatsoever. We have been dutiful in doing the major services recommended by Toyota, as well as keeping the oil changes, tire rotations, etc. up to date. We have had to replace the plastic door handles on the driver and passenger door, and the handle on the rear hatch as well. If that is all I can complain about in all this time, you can guess we have been pretty happy with this van. But, thats why we bought a Toyota in the first place. We have other newer Toyota's, but this is the one we get into for a long family trip, as it is the roomiest and most comfy for the family. AND, even with its age, still very secure and safe. Love my Toyota!"
"Love this car take everywhere not just easy highway miles. driven into the northern parts of Canada to Guatemala 387000 miles currently. Been rear-ended 3 times and is still mechanically perfect. only ever had to change catalytic converter and alternator. Decent in the snow and easy overall to drive. also can pop the seats out wit a bit of effort and have a transport or caper van. I average 24-32 mpg in it as well. My van is a legend among the Rugby team and all my friends. if a friend needs a car for an adventure they borrow mine. It's been on more adventures than most people go on in their entire lives."
Cons: "No interior access, release hatch. Poor paint job"

"I've had my 2002 Toyota Sienna CE since July 2003. Up until 2007, when a squirrel crawled in and chewed some wires, I had no mechanical/maintenance issues. Still pretty good gas mileage on the highway. Rides, drives and feels just like a car, but roomier. Two major issues I do have is the paint job on hood was under par and has gotten worse over the years and No interior access to release the hatch, very inconvenient when the exterior handle broke (2008-2014) during a very cold winter."
Pros: "reliable, comfortable, great driving for a van"
Cons: "passenger compartment leaks, air co and heat"

"Car has served me, always started, got me where Im going with minimal repairs. The sunroof, drains, have always leaked. Recently, the heat and air have been less effecient. The sound, not premium, but acts like it...always good. The leather has started to wear...probably my own fault. Engine, 6 cylinder, runs great...does not use oil. Only moving on because a timing chain/water pump maintenance is due and with the leakage, heat and air co, its just time."
"Complete history maintenance and cost. Every action taken by authorized Toyota is recorded. No service performed by myself or by unauthorized Toyota Service center. Cost per mile including maintenance and fuel. Never burned a drop of oil. Service performed on time or before."
