I own this car - My approximate mileage is 15,000
overall rating 10 of 10rating detailsPros: "Quality built for driver safety."
Cons: "Acceleration is the tradeoff for mileage"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"Bought the Prius III for my granddaughter to drive back and forth to college. 5 months into ownership. she pulled out directly into the path of a pickup on the hiway and was broadsided (drivers side door) at 70 mph. The impact rails built into the door held and the car bounced off the truck to the opposite side of the hiway (photo included). She only had one superficial cut and some bruising on her left thigh and from the seatbelt. Even though she was at fault, I can't say enough about the quality and safety features that went into this car. This car save my baby girl's life."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 2,400
overall rating 7 of 10rating detailsPros: "a solid car for long daily commutes"
Cons: "materials and construction"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 8
"bought the prius five two months ago and notice the mpg declines over time. initially get 480mpg each full tank. then down to around 400mpg within two months. the car isn't well built, mostly likely due to cutting on overall curb weight. the sound system is nothing to brag about even though it is the five model. it comes with these big tires, which i don't see necessary for a car like this. the appearance is nice for what it is. it fits a somewhat compact stroller in the trunk, can't have a full size stroller. have a convertible car seat for my baby, which works out ok, but does block view somewhat when changing lanes. just need to be careful and get used to it. love all other smaller features such as the headlines, the front carbon look fenders, etc. its a solid buy and conservative one and good for around 70 miles of driving each day as in my case. used to spend around 430 bucks a month on gas with my bmw. now only spend 130 bucks a month so far. leaving the bimmer at home for occasional use on weekends and running errands."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 46,000
overall rating 9 of 10rating detailsPros: "MPG, reliability, quality, looks, road feel"
Cons: "not so comfortable seats, cup holder position"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"This is a really good car, bought it brand new to replace a 2009 Nissan Murano that was hurting my wallet with maintenance and at the gas pump. I have put almost 46k miles in just over two years and only regular servicing has been done on it, first 4 visits were covered by Toyota and the next ones I've paid for so I've only spent roughly $200 on oil changes and tire rotations. For a small engine it really feels good on the road, (44-48mpg) not too noisy and with the windows up you can hardly hear anything around you. Navigation system is pretty good and the upgraded JBL sounds great, better than Bose in Audi A4. The only negatives I have are the seats and the cup holders. For a vehicle that is meant to be driven more than most it is really uncomfortable to drive long distances in it, I also have a Matrix and its seats are much better for long drives. The Murano was better for long trips but I hardly used it for them since it would waste almost double the gas the Matrix did. (19mpg on Premium gas) Cup holders are quiet a bit annoying since both of them are on the middle armrest and they're in the way of both driver and passanger. If you're charging or using the USB/AUX you keep bumping into your drinks and can get tired of it. The back and cargo area are super roomy, everything has fit so far without having to ask someone to borrow their truck. Like the look of it inside and out, but I think they could've put a bit better quality materials for the dash. It almost looks Ford quality. I really recommend this car no matter what you're trying to replace, I like switching cars often but this is a keeper, it just doesn't get old. (I also tested the insight, civic, camry, sentra, altima, focus and smart during a few months period but they just didn't feel right or made sense when crunching numbers)"

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 3,500
overall rating 10 of 10rating detailsPros: "Mileage, comfort, reliablity. room for four"
Cons: "Backup visiablity."
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"I owned the Prius for six months and I am still blown away by it's mileage. I commute to work during off hours so most of my driving is highway. I do drive conservatively but do keep up with traffic and I average 58.5 mpg. The seats are comfortable and there is reasonable enough room for four. The only negative I have is visiable during backup. I had one close call but now I backup more slowly."
