"What can I say? Any vehicle that goes over 350k miles without ANY incident is something special. We got our first Previa in 1996 and were amazed with its handling - these suckers simply corner as good as an Audi Quattro. We Loved that its footprint is roughly the same size as a Subaru Legacy SW of the same era and its volume is virtually the same as a Grand Caravan's. Engineering of these gems went So very far beyond convention and Not just in looks. Previa owners seem to appreciate each other and I have met a guy who had 436k on his and was still using it as his work truck. Reliable enough to trust his family income with. We were selling another one we used to have and a fellow who had 511k on his considered our quarter million mile Previa to be 'low miles'. You can't believe everything you read online but when I read a discussion between two Previa owners who each had over 700k (razzing each other - boasting who would get to 800k fist) I trusted that. All that while making the Most comfortable road vehicle ever (and I compare that to Lexus LS400, Infiniti Q45, Toyota Sequoia, etc that we have also owned). You see, we have not been Previa owners simply because they were old and we needed a cheap vehicle. We have done so by choice. The couple who bought our 350k unit for $1,300 were ecstatic. We will be once again when we locate that elusive 2 sunroof S/C model. The passion we have for Previa's must be catching because we have made the recommendation for numerous others to buy one. Many have and are just as pleased. Heck, even our son at college was digging driving his out of state friends around in his while off at school. As goofy as it may sound, I have met several people who owned more than one. we have not even been very diligent with the maintenance on our Previas - not neglectful - just not proactive. Although Not recommended, this offers further example of how reliable these SUV's (Sport Utility Van) are. Enjoy!"

"Bought this minivan 17 years ago, just before my third child was born. Here we are, 17 years later, and I still DO NOT want to part with it! However, next year my third child will be off to college, and I will be downsizing my life. I will not be able to manage two vehicles. Just for purposes of size and gas mileage, I will be favoring my 2005 Prius over this wonderful van. I will be looking for not just a "buyer" but more importantly, a good "family/home" for it. I want to know that someone else will love and appreciate it in its "senior years"!!!"

Pros: "everthing"

Cons: "some road noise can be heard."

"My review is in-depth. For starters the designs of this van is way ahead of it time. More of a futuristic van then from our day and age. The egg shape design is unlike any other van on the road today. The interior lay-out is more of the same with a unforseen dash configuration middle row captains chairs the turn 180 degrees to face the third Rom seats. It comes in a number of different packages some the offer a super charger, dual sunroof and even all wheel drive. The van drive just as well as a full size family car with minimum body roll. The reliability is second to none. Very very reliable. The mid engine and transmission is unheard of in a mini van and still is. It has one draw back is engine maintenance, with it being under the driver and passanger seats. So unless you know these vans you may get a little lost. I have rated this van based off of mine own Previa a 9/10 only cus of some road noise that can be heard while seating in the third row seats. Other then that a fine vehicle to own"

Pros: "Lots of space, comfort and incredible reliability"

Cons: "Wish it were AWD"

"It's the SC model and it's got plenty of get up and go. It was maxed out on options. I still have the original window sticker of $36, 599!!! It's the best car I've ever owned besides my old Lexus LS400. People stop me all the time trying to buy it. I can haul my kayak inside by laying all the seats flat. I believe this is the best automobile Toyota ever made. A lot of Toyota mechanics agree."

"This toyota has gone the extra mile even when there has been adverse conditions of the road. It is a classic and a pleasure to drive. The car has features that qualify it to be brought back in current manufacturing. I would most likely purchase another one. The cargo area it adquate for larger loads, along with the passenger seating is people & pet friendly. There really is no outstanding defects that would cause me to not trust this minivan on a long road trip. I love this car & have no intention to sell but will pass on to my children, confidently."

detailing my previa

"Best van on the planet. I would say, don't over heat it though. My ex- wife over heated mine and blow the head gasket. It's all fixed now and I was able to do the work myself for around $1400. Witch is not bad considering I used all Toyota parts and changed a bunch more stuff that wasn't needed but just to insure ill get another 200,000 out of the engine. Van is a bit underpowered for its size and weight but get decent gas mileage at an average of 18mpg.. fun van to drive and loads of room for all. Dual sunroofs are a plus but are getting harder to find. I wouldn't sell my beloved Samantha( previa) to anyone"
