Pros: "Cheap to maintain, fun to drive"

Cons: "Light weight makes bumps scary, no real back seat"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"The car is a dream come true. I bought it as my first car about 10,000 miles and 10 months ago. It gets me anywhere I need to go, no worries, and has never failed me. The parts are cheap if you ever need to replace them, mainly thanks to it being in the same series as the tercel, etc. It gets excellent mpg, and is just fun to drive. The only problem I have with my vehicle is the two "back seats" it supposedly has, which are little more than angled foam with a clearance for someone close to 4 feet tall max. It's hilarious watching people squirm in the back though, so for some that's a plus. Also there's some weird cupholders in the back that do a great job, so kudos to the interior designers."

Pros: "Reliable, Economical, FUN FUN FUN"

Cons: "Bit of a Go-Kart ride in Michigan's poor roads"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"36-38 on Highway, stellar reliability, fun convertible, handles excellently, FUN is the key word here . Drove it from Florida to Michigan with Zero problems. Have it up for sale, but could care less if it does not sell. I paint houses and wish my equipment would all fit in the trunk !"

Would like to keep this forever

Pros: "Reliable, good on gas, top comes off quick."

Cons: "Rough ride, no cruise control"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"We bought the Paseo Convertible from California in 2005 with 70,0000 miles. It has a full leather interior. We've now had it for 8 years and it is still going strong. Replaced the convertible top and rear glass, and was told it would last longer than the factory one. The ride is rough and you are very low to the ground. It's been hit twice at parking lots while parked, probably because it is so small. Such a reliable vehicle, nothing has gone wrong. Our mechanic says it is one of the best vehicles he has seen and wants to buy it if we ever sell. The manual roof and dependability of Toyota were the deciding factors in getting this car. Wish it had cruise control, but are looking into finding a Paseo at a junk yard to see if it is possible to install one."

"I love this car but I am thinking of leaving the country and can't take it . If I could, I would. If I stay in the country, I will keep it still it dies. Then I will get a new engine and keep driving it."
