"We bought this 2002 Highlander V6 AWD new, after owning 3 Camrys, because it was well-built and on a Camry chassis. This V-6 Limited AWD vehicle is efficiently designed with good cargo space, yet enough style, space, and comfort for professional use, including leather seats. Perfectly-sized, this little SUV has the quiet comfortable ride of a car rather than the ride of a small truck. 2002 is smaller than the ever-growing Highlanders of recent years, which are now way too big. This 2002 Highlander is an excellent vehicle, very reliable, safe, roomy enough for 5, comfortable in back seat as well as front. It's been a nice vehicle to transport business clients as well as great for skiing vacations, weekends in the snow, home & yard projects, along with towing & launching an 18' boat. Decent gas mileage for its weight/size at 16-26 mpg depending on Hwys or hill driving. Very easy for all ages to get in & out of "car". We love this little SUV, & believe it will drive to 300,000 mileage & beyond with continued TLC and normal regular maintenance."
"We have had our Highlander for almost 10 years after purchasing brand new. By far the most reliable vehicle we have ever owned! The fact that we have had it serviced every 5,000 miles since the beginning probably helped. We like the newer model but wish they would of kept the same overall size as the earlier models. We also don't like the fact that they no longer offer a 4 cylinder. We are gonna run ours into the ground and will be VERY sad when we have to eventually replace her. You don't see many used Highlanders for sale for a reason. If you just so happen come across one, make sure you scoop it up in a heartbeat!"
