I own this car - My approximate mileage is 20,000

Pros: "An absolute solid and dependable tank."

Cons: "Wish it had a larger fuel tank."

"2012 Manual 4X4. I live in a rural area and got this vehicle for commuting into town and weekend chores. I will admit vehicles at our house get used (and occasionally abused). My daily commute into town is 70 miles round trip about half of which is back country dirt roads. Additionally, I had traded in my small pickup for this FJ so I picked up a utility trailer to make up for a lack of a truck bed and it gets used almost every weekend for chores or the occasional run up to the hills with the ATVs. I have to admit this is the first Toyota I have every purchased but have been so impressed I'll probably take my wife to look at what else they have when it is time to replace her vehicle. This thing has been run hard since the day I picked it up and I haven't had any problems yet. As far as the blind spots - I am already used to driving with mirrors (as opposed to turning my head)so I haven't really noticed an issue."

Lousy Toyota Service & Support

Pros: "Is an off-road truck-does that well enough, but..."

Cons: "Its a Toyota - you get their non-support."

"Wheel wobble from day one - steering wheel shakes side to side - as much as 1 to 2 inches at freeway speeds. Toyota Zone rep drove the vehicle and said, in writing, "This is normal behavior for the the FJ Cruiser." If you are thinking about buying one, think twice. This is my 2nd new Toyota - in both cases Toyota service and zone support have been the worst. The first one I force them to buy back within 30 days, 30 years later I gave Toyota another chance, but this one I paid cash ($35,000) and got stuck with it."

Total Package

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 62,000

Pros: "Looks great, easy to clean, rugged, holds value"

Cons: "blindspots"

"I Have a 2007 voodoo blue FJ cruiser. Traded in my tacoma for it. Opted for the Manual, primarily because I get lazy driving automatic. Have done some upgrading and suprisingly wasn't to expensive. Three inches of lift, 33" Hankook DynaPro MT tires, 7 inch touchscreen DVD, Backup Camera, GPS, Bluetooth, etc. Aftermarket subwoofer and amp, G Force chip, bull bar, bug deflector, and a Hitch. The thing is a tank, it can't be stopped. I would recomend one to everyone. Though the fuel economy isn't great its tollerable. Blind spots aren't so bad once you get use to them. Have had to repair upper ball joints, probably due to the lift, and the clutch. Clutch was still good but for some reasons all of the 4.0liters with a MT have issues with throwout bearings. Not just FJ's. All around great vehicle"

This is one tough vehicle, bulletproof so to speak

On the beach in Baja

"We purchased one of the first FJ Cruisers to hit the street. It is a pleasure to drive it around town and on the freeway's but that's not what we bought it for. It has taken us to Baja at least 25 time's and traveling on hundred's of miles of rough dirt roads. We have driven to the bottom of the Copper Canyon in Chihuahua Mexico in the blistering heat. Not to mention the blinding snow storm's in the Midwest. I know, I know I sound like a T.V. Commercial but I really like this FJ it has never let us down."
