I own this car - My approximate mileage is 84,000
overall rating 9 of 10rating detailsPros: "great price, few repairs"
Cons: "front seats uncomortable for long trips"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9
"I have owned my Echo for 9 years. Only 1 significant repair due to normal wear and tear, transmission-related. The gas mileage (especially when new) was fantastic - 36 miles to the gallon on the highway! The interior design is a bit different but great one you're used to it. Good trunk space for such a small car. My model does not have any amenities, like power locks, etc. Having the fold-down seat would be helpful though. Leg room in the back seat is good. After some years and a back injury the driver's seat isn't as comfortable as it once was, but over all I highly recommend this car. They run forever and if you take care of it you will get much more than your money's worth."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 120,000
overall rating 9 of 10rating detailsPros: "Good gas millage!"
Cons: "Everything is manual!"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9
"I bought this car in since 2004... We used to travel a lot and it was the best car to use for the gas millage is awesome. When I fill the tank and I go to work driving 30 miles back and fourth the gas still last me a week or more... Cannot get better then that. The only down side is the hood is very thin! If I brush against something (here goes money for the body shop) Not cool and when it windy and I am alone in the car, I have the feeling that the wind will blow me up! Overall Great buys!"

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 280,000
overall rating 8 of 10rating detailsPros: "great gas , favorable room, cheep dependable"
Cons: "road noise an small an unattractive"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 8
"I bought my echo from my grandparants who bought it new they took great care of it an i continued i averaged 38 to 42 mpg in summer an 33 to 35 mpg in winter. Drove the car every day to an from work approx. 60 miles round trip changed oil every 3,000 miles an it has not let me down starts on the coldest of days ( in ND that can be 50 below F ) with out being pluged in. Has a suprising amount of room in the front an back seat as well as cargo space. however is a considerable amount of road noise also is a lil car so questionable on safety if hit a deer or accident w car (helps detour from wreckless driving). Also it is n very powerfull an not comfortable on long road trips. other than those minor details great car an i liked it so much bought another one. thinking on retireing my first one with over 280,000 miles on it."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 236,000
overall rating 9 of 10rating detailsPros: "Reliability, handling, visibility, economy, fun"
Cons: "Marginal acceleration, ride comfort, space, noise."
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 8
"There is ample room for two average adults. The two spaces of the back seat would be suitable for small children and groceries. The trunk has room for the luggage of two people. This is not a family car. The 1.5 liter engine is low-power, very responsive. The car handles well, with rack and pinion steering. Most highway access ramps can be negotiated at 45 mph or higher. Acceleration is poor when three of four seats are occupied. Great for single commuter or college student. Climate control is plenty adequate. Controls are simple and straight-forward to use. Driver visibility is excellent. Head room/leg room may be issues for a driver over six feet tall. In-town mpg is probably 30 mpg. Highway cruising mpg is over 45. A 99% highway trip of 400 miles used less that 8.5 gallons. 20% city/80% highway economy with single occupant is 43 mpg, over a ten year record. If Toyota still offered this model, I'd have a new one."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 254,000
overall rating 9 of 10rating detailsPros: "great mph"
Cons: "tight space in back seat."

"I bought this new (1st year) this is the basic car (only regret was not getting cruise control). Been a great car, love the dash board in the center directed at driver - ease to glance down at speed and rear view mirror. I get better gas mileage now that when it was first new. city average 30/hwy 33 (new - city 28/hwy 30). Toyota did not really advertise this vehicle and no longer made."
